About Us

(Nonprofit Dental and Healthcare Outreach Organization)

United Families for Humanities, Inc. (UFFHI) is a registered non-stock, non-profit Philippine organization founded in Oct 2022. Before UFFHI, our team worked with a Station Advisory Council as part of a local Philippine Police Station. As a Station Advisory Council, we conducted eight major humanitarian events and a handful of small humanitarian activities. However, due to the constraints of the Station Advisory Council and a change in leadership and philosophies, we stepped away from the advisory council. and formed United Families for Humanities, Inc. (UFFHI).

We chose the name “United Families for Humanities, Inc.” while working with the advisory council, we considered ourselves a family – a small family of volunteers helping people in need. In addition, most of our members have family members working and volunteering alongside them. Therefore, we are a united group of families performing nonprofit humanitarian assistance – thus the name “United Families for Humanities, Inc.” In addition, our families are helping other families, hence the tagline ….Families helping Families.

Our primary mission is to conduct dental and healthcare outreach activities in the eastern Mindanao area of the Philippines. This is because there are many poor and indigenous communities in Mindanao. Unfortunately, dental and healthcare are primarily unavailable in these remote communities. Therefore, UFFHI will conduct dental and healthcare outreach activities to care for the indigenous people who cannot access the care and treatment they desperately need. This year, we have planned for six (6) bi-monthly (every two months) healthcare and dental outreach events with a goal of 200 – 400 participants at each event beginning in February 2023. Our ability to perform dental and healthcare events depends solely on donations – every event is 100% funded through donations. Therefore, your donations are greatly needed to continue conducting our top-notched dental and healthcare outreach programs. We will conduct other humanitarian activities on a case-by-case basis. We are here to serve the people of the Philippines, so we will assist whenever or wherever our services are needed based on donations.

Your donations will cover participants’ medical check-ups, medical treatment plans, circumcisions, medications, dental check-ups, tooth extractions, fluoride treatments, preventative dental hygiene classes, dental care packs, and medications. In addition, donations cover healthy snacks, drinks, and activity transportation costs.

Our secondary mission, but just as important as our primary mission, is to accomplish our humanitarian work through youths. Over half of our volunteers are teenagers and young college students committed to our mission. We understand that providing community-engagement opportunities can improve outcomes for our young volunteers and their communities. Youth who volunteer are more likely to perform better in school and work and become community-active adults. They help our organization become more aware of issues that concern younger populations, which can increase our organization’s impact. In addition, volunteering helps keep them active by participating in productive activities for those less fortunate. We are helping shape and develop the young minds of our future.

United Families for Humanities, Inc., consists of a team of volunteers from all walks of life. However, we are incredibly proud of our youth volunteers, including elementary, middle, and high school students and young medical and dental college students. Other volunteers include dentists, doctors, nurses, healthcare professionals, retirees, and many more.

Caring and community service are our watchwords. Community service allows us to give back to those in need while reinforcing our Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR).
